Online Piano Lessons Now Available at Yuki’s Piano Studio in West Vancouver
During the COVID-19 pandemic, piano students may choose online piano lessons by Zoom or Skype or face-to-face piano lessons or hybrid.
At Yuki’s Piano Studio, all face-to-face piano lessons transitioned to online piano lessons via Zoom or Skype from March to August 2020. Face-to-face piano lessons resumed at the end of August 2020.
Live virtual online piano lessons will continue to remain available for those piano students, who feel more comfortable participating in piano lessons from home.
Yuki’s Piano Studio continues to follow provincial health guidelines.
Face-to-Face Piano Lessons Still Offered in West Vancouver
For those of you, who are still interested in face-to-face piano lessons in West Vancouver, Yuki’s Piano Studio is currently offering face-to-face piano lessons to piano students, who live on the North Shore (West Vancouver and North Vancouver).
Yuki’s Piano Studio is located in the neighbourhood of Chartwell in West Vancouver. Chartwell is considered to be one of the most prestigious neighbourhoods in West Vancouver.
The piano studio is close to the 15th Street exit (exit 11) from Trans-Canada Highway 1 and within walking distance to Sentinel Secondary School, Chartwell Elementary School and Hollyburn Country Club. Easy parking.
If you choose the option of face-to-face piano lesson, there will only be a maximum of 3 people in the piano studio – the piano student, the parent (if the piano student is young between the ages of 3 and 9) and the piano teacher. The private piano lesson format already allows for social distancing. No group music classes will be offered until further notice.
The piano, rhythm instruments and educational materials will be sanitized after they are used. If the piano students and parents are sick, they will be asked not to come to the piano lesson until they have completely recovered.
Piano Lessons for Piano Students Ages 3 & Up in West Vancouver
Many studies show that the first five years are critical to lifelong development. There is no need for your child to wait to take piano lessons until she is 6 or 7 years of age.
West Vancouver’s piano teacher Yuki started taking music lessons when she was 4 years old. She believes that starting to learn the piano at an early age is important.
If you are a parent, who also believes in starting piano lessons early, then you have come to the right piano teacher’s website.
Piano Student’s Options: Classical Training or Play for Fun
If your child is serious about learning to play the piano, then she will definitely want to play piano by Chopin. If that is the case, your child can take the RCM exams up to ARCT.
Perhaps your child just wants to learn to play the piano for fun. There are many piano books, which your child can learn to play for fun.
Continue Lessons to Get Ready for the RCM Exams & High School Credits
A majority of Yuki’s piano students start early at around 4 years of age. Some piano students do start as young as a 3-year-old.
Yuki’s piano students perform in the annual student piano recitals and continue on to take RCM examinations for high school credit.
You will be spared the hassle of having to look for another piano teacher as your child continue on to Elementary School and beyond.
Yuki’s Teaching Philosophy
West Vancouver’s piano teacher Yuki respects the uniqueness of each child and tailors each lesson accordingly based mostly on her disposition, learning style, personal interests and cultural and family expectations.
Yuki has experience teaching not only children, who excel in music studies, but also children, who have struggled to learn to play the piano for some reason.
Yuki believes that every child has the potential to enjoy music and that every child can gain essential life skills through studying music.
